The Sinner's Friend
My Thoughts:
My friend, the love of God is manifested in the life of the Son of God. As He loved us, so too does the Father love us. Speaking to one of His disciples Jesus said "Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." (John 14:9, 10).

In giving us His Son, the Father has given us Himself. The love that the Son of God manifests towards us, is the same love that the Father has for us. "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:19).

My friend, the peace that passes all understanding is the peace that we are reconciled to God by the indwelling of the Son of God within our hearts. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" (Romans 5:1).

Wont you accept Jesus into your heart today?

The Savior of Men
My Thoughts:
My friend, the Son of God is the Savior of men, not just because He died for our sins, but that we are made righteous by His holy life. Our true problem with sin is not just that we have sinned, but that we are sinners by nature. Thus we need more than forgiveness, we need cleansing from all unrighteousness. That cleansing comes by the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ living within us.

In sending His Son to live a holy life as a man, we are connected to the Father through this gift. The gift was not simply a replacement in the judgment, but He is a replacement for our life. "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." (1 John 5:11).

Many in the church today have narrowed sin to an action that we commit, but in doing so they loose sight of the real salvation that God desires to give to us. By the gift of His Son, who is the fullness of Himself manifested in the flesh, He has given us His life. "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;" (John 5:26).

The Seventh-day Adventist Church today has rejected the One true God for the god of the trinity. It teaches that the Son is not truly a son naturally, but is only a metaphor or a title that one of the god-beings has assumed for our salvation, and as such it is not the life of the Father living in the Son, but is the life of another being that is God unto himself, thus destroying the whole of the gospel that "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son," (John 3:16).

By the churches adoption of the trinity it has separated itself and all those who follow after it, from God. "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3). As such they are in the Laodicean condition; a condition that is separated from God. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:" (Revelation 3:20).

My friend, if you have been seeking after the righteousness of God through the law, trying to quench the sinful desires of your heart by keeping the law, you have no doubt found no peace within your heart. It is time to look away from the trinity unto the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27).

The Saving Power of Jesus

The Saving Power of Jesus
My Thoughts:
My friend, in our sinful condition we are wholly unable to be truly good. We may mimic good works, but unless we are born again our good works are tainted with sin. Only the righteousness of Christ can transform the heart that true righteousness may be seen in good works that glorify our Father in heaven.

How sad it is today that there are many in the church that believe that sin is only an action that we commit and as such they attempt to control their behavior, while the heart remains unchanged. This may present to the world an outward form of righteousness, but "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). Those who seek to control their actions without the Spirit of Christ cry "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" (Romans 7:24).

This is not the experience that God desires us to have. He desires for us to have peace with Him through our connection with His Son. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." (Romans 5:1, 2).

My friend, if you are struggling with guilt for the sin that continues to reign in your life, do not despair, surrender your life to Christ and He will cleanse you from all unrighteousness by His life dwelling within you. He says "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." (Matthew 11:28, 29).
