My friend, the meekness of Christ can be ours on through a humble submission of our hearts to His. Pride and self-sufficiency thwart the work of Christ in the heart. One cannot be surrendered to Christ while these traits of character are present.
The condition of the church today is similar to that of the Jews at the time of Christ. The Jews believed that they were spiritually in need of nothing. They were the chosen people of God, they were from the line of Abraham and heirs to the promise. But Jesus said "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44).
In like manner Jesus says to the remnant Seventh-day Adventist Church today "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:" (Revelation 3:15-17).
The church is in this condition because it has forsaken the One true God for the false god of the trinity. Their spiritual pride and self-sufficiency blinds them from seeing their true condition before God. They reject the plain words of God that reveals the truth, thinking that those who are showing them are deluded. "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19).
My friend, if you continue to worship God as a trinity, you are worshiping a false God, and if you refuse to accept the plain words of Jesus when He prayed saying "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3), then you are in danger of receiving the mark of the beast just as readily as those who are worshiping on Sunday.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is filled with spiritual pride and self-sufficiency because they believe that they are the remnant church of God; they believe that because they worship God on the seventh-day that they are the only true worshipers of God. Yet while they cling to this belief, they have forsaken the only begotten Son of God, for He is on the outside of His people, seeking to gain entrance saying "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20).
Won't you humble yourself and open the doors of your heart to the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ today?
God bless,
