Descent of the New Jerusalem

Descent of the New Jerusalem
My Thoughts:
My friend, the resurrection of the wicked is still a long time in the future, but the final close of probation is right before us. The message of the everlasting gospel will be given to the world and all will have sufficient light to understand who God is. The final test will be given; the line of distinction between those who fear the Creator of heaven and earth, and the world will be clearly set. The Spirit of God will be poured out upon the world and all those who receive it will stand firm for Him in the last days. Those who resist it will be lost and be destroyed at the second coming of Jesus.

The final event that brings the world to the point of decision is still future, but for the remnant church of God the point of decision comes first. "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17). The event that purifies the church and separates the true from the false is happening today.

The message of to the church of Laodicea is the message that shakes the church. This message is given by the Faithful and True Witness of God given to the church by a small group of people filled with the Spirit of Christ. They proclaim that the church is in the condition that it is because it has forsaken the One true God for the false god of the trinity, and as such they do not have the righteousness of Christ.

Those who heed the warning by zealous repentance, will receive Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, into their hearts. Those who resist the working of the Spirit of God upon their hearts and cling to their belief in the trinity, will soon place themselves beyond the reach of Christ. Their decision is made and though they live on, their probation has closed.

My friend, the close of probation comes first the house of God. The close of probation for the church is happening right now. Those who accept the message of rebuke and turn from their worship of the false god of the trinity unto the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ, will be purified and made white, ready to bring the true gospel to the world. Those who resist and finally reject the message of God, will grieve away the Spirit of Christ and be lost.

The time to decide is now, and the choice that you make today will determine your destiny. Won't you turn from the false god of the trinity unto the One true God through His Son Jesus today?

We Shall Judge Angels

Today's Devotion

We Shall Judge Angels
My Thoughts:
My friend, the thousand years that the redeemed spend in heaven is for a purpose. The judgment of the wicked are given into the hands of the redeemed, that they may examine the judgment of God. All of His dealings with men and angels will be opened to the saints. From the fall of Lucifer, the temptation of our first parents in the garden of Eden, and to every case of all that have lived on the earth.

For many there will still be questions to be answered in heaven, why their loved ones are not there with them; why their friends that they believed should have been there are not. To every question comes the whole record of Gods dealings with them and the role of Satan and his angels. The great battle for the souls of men are laid bare to all that would inquire.

This judgment is for the redeemed of God that they may see that His judgment is true, that He had done all that could be done for the salvation of their loved ones. It will be seen that it ultimately was their choice that has left them out of the gates of heaven. In the end all will be satisfied with God's dealings with them.

My friend, the time of our probation is soon to close. The last events of earths history are right before us. It is time to make your decision either for Christ or against. It is time to surrender your life to Jesus, that He may come into your heart and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Won't you surrender your life to Him today?

The Captivity of Satan

Today's Devotion

The Captivity of Satan
My Thoughts:
My friend, at the second coming of Jesus, Satan's time of tempting and harassing is at an end. The righteous are forever taken from his power. The wicked are in the graves, and all that is left is time to wander and ponder as to the results of his rebellion against the authority of the Son of God.

The whole of the great controversy has been about the authority and position of the Son of God. The jealousy that he, a created being, had against the Son of God led him to rebel against the order that God had put in place.

While on this earth he did all that was in his power to lead others to reject the coming Messiah; the Son of God. When the Son of God came as a man, the people that were supposed to be heralding His birth, were not ready to receive Him. In His ministry on earth, the leaders of the church rejected and crucified the One sent to secure their salvation.

After His ascension to heaven, Satan persecuted all that accepted Jesus as the Son of God. After the passing of the apostles, he corrupted the early Christian church to deny the literal son-ship of Jesus by the introduction of the trinity. As the light of truth poured forth in the reformation, the people accepted the light given but continued to hold on to the trinity. Finally in 1844, a movement had come about by the hand of God that restored the Son of God to His rightful place in the hearts and minds of the people of God.

Since then Satan has fought tirelessly against the remnant people that held fast to the commandments of God and had the testimony of Jesus Christ. This time of the church was depicted as the time of the Church of Philadelphia, a church that was without fault before God.

Today Satan has led the remnant church to deny the literal son-ship of Christ by the acceptance of the trinity. As such they represent the last of the seven churches; the Church of Laodicea, a church that has only reproach spoken against it. It is "... wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked;" (Revelation 3:17) because they have forsaken Christ as the only begotten Son of God.

But even in this most terrible condition there is still hope for those within the church to come out and receive Jesus as the only begotten Son of God, for He offers to them gold tried in the fires, white raiment that the shame of their nakedness do not appear, and eye salve that they may see their most terrible condition before God. He says "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:19, 20).

My friend, the reign of Satan's deception is just about at an end. The closing events of earth's history are right before us. It is time for you to be zealous in your repentance to Jesus, the only begotten Son of God.

A Crown for Every Saint

Today's Devotion
Tuesday, April 28, 2020
A Crown for Every Saint
My Thoughts:
My friend, the glories that await us have not been revealed to us by any of this world, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." (2 Corinthians 2:9, 10).

A crown of victory awaits all that would surrender their hearts to the working of the Spirit of God in Christ, for He is the wisdom of God that reveals to us the glory, majesty, and great love of God for us. The crown represents the victory that God has wrought in us as sons and daughters of Him. For "... as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12).

My friend, the victory that we gain comes from the fact that Jesus is the Son of God, "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;" (John 5:26). "If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1 John 5:9-12).

If you desire to receive the crown of life, you must first receive the life of God in His Son. May you receive Jesus as the true Son of God today.
