Heart Communion with God
My Thoughts:
My friend, we are ever in need of communion with God, for it is our life line in the struggle against the prince of darkness. The weakest sinner that in humility goes to their knees and prays for the power of God to overcome sin is more than a match for Satan. Yet how many today are neglecting this most important part of our relationship with God?

Satan well knows that those whom he can get to neglect prayer and the searching of the Scriptures, will be overcome by his devices. Therefore we must be in constant communion with God through His Son Jesus Christ. This means that our hearts are to be in a prayerful spirit, communing with Jesus as we walk through the duties of this life. Then when we need His help and guidance, we will be ready to receive it.

Faith is the key - David Clayton
Faith is the Key - David Clayton

Many Christians today have stopped believing in miracles. They believe that God does not work in this way in our time. Prayer is like a raffle with no real expectation that God will answer. This sermon shows clearly that the only reason for the lack of God's intervention today, is a lack of faith.

Watch and Pray
My Thoughts:
My friend, the disciples were invited to join with Jesus in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus was to be taken that night and this was His night of anguish of and temptation. It was here that Satan sought to discourage the Son of God from His mission of redemption. It was at this time that He desired the intercessory prayer of His disciples. But not for Him alone, but for themselves.

Jesus, coming back the first time seeing them all sleeping said "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Matthew 26:41). At the time when their great temptation was just before them, they were sleeping when they should have been watching and praying. Jesus was about to be betrayed into the hands of the Scribes and Pharisees; their hopes and dreams were about to be shattered, and they needed to be watching and praying.

My friend, we are on the verge of the great and final test of our faith, and like the disciples we are sleeping when we should be watching and praying. It is now when we should be searching the Scriptures and keeping our eye on Jesus; cooperating with Him in the cleansing of the heart temple. Ye we are all as fast asleep as were the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane.

May we all awaken to the times that we are living in and seek after Jesus that we may be shielding from the trials and temptations that are just before us.

Transformed by Searching the Word
My Thoughts:
My friend, our lives are filled with sin. As we partake of the things of this world our characters have been wrought through and through with the taint of sin. It is impossible for us to weed out each of the areas of our lives that have been corrupted by sin, but as we search the Scriptures, the Spirit of God will identify the areas that we need to remedy by His grace.

As we daily search the Scriptures He will reveal within us the plague spots in our lives, and as we surrender to His revealing, we may lay hold of the grace of God to overcome these plague spots in our lives. Thus we are daily transformed into the lovely image of Christ.
