Elijah and the Modern Church

Elijah and the Modern Church
My Thoughts:
My friend, The message that we are to give to the world is to be given in the spirit and power of Elijah and John the Baptist. This can only be given if we are filled with the same Spirit as were these mighty men of faith. Yet today the message seems to have little effect upon the minds of those who hear it. The reason is simple, the same Spirit that attended the message in times past is not dwelling in the hearts of those who proclaim it.

Since the acceptance of the trinity into the church, the Spirit of God has been replaced with a counterfeit spirit called “God the Holy Spirit”. A being that is neither the Father nor the Son but is a being unto itself. This counterfeit spirit cannot empower the church to proclaim the message with the power of God.

Only the Spirit of God given to us through His Son can accomplish this work. Jesus is the literal and true Son of God and He is filled with the Spirit of God manifested in the flesh. “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.” (John 14:10, 11).

My friend, if we are to bring this last message of hope to the world, we must be filled with the Spirit of God given to us through His Son. This cannot happen while we are worshiping God as a trinity. We must look away from this false God unto the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ today.

The Trial of the Church

The Trial of the Church
My Thoughts:
My friend, the trying of God's end-time church is necessary so that it may be purified and made white. The condition of the the church today is spoken of in the message from the Jesus to the church of Laodicea. This once pure church has been corrupted by the unholy influence of un-sanctified men who have brought in the belief of God as a trinity. This is spoken of in Jude 4 saying "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."

The message to God's people today is a call away from the belief of the trinity unto the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ. When this message is given to the church with the outpouring of the Spirit of Christ, this will cause a shaking among the people. How the people respond to the message will reveal the true people of God. Those who accept the rebuke of Jesus will turn away from their worship of the false god of the trinity unto the One true God through the true Son of God.

As the people of God are thus purified and made white, the last message of hope in the three angels message will be given to the world. This will bring the wrath of the dragon upon the remnant church. This church is not identified by a denomination but by the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ living within them.

My friend, it is time to examine your faith "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (2 Corinthians 13:5).

God's Ideal for His Church

Today's Devotion

God's Ideal for His Church
My Thoughts:
My friend, the righteousness of Christ must be impressed upon all that will receive the seal of God. The message that was given to the church in 1888 was Christ our righteousness. While this message was accepted outwardly by the leadership of the church, in practice they followed the law; in essence they followed their own wisdom over the wisdom of God in Christ Jesus.

The impress of Christ upon the character can only be perfected if He is living within the heart. While the law is holy, and righteous, and good, it has no power to transform the life. "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:3, 4).

Today the church has lost its anchor, it has lost sight of the righteousness of Christ. Since the introduction and eventual acceptance of the trinity into the church, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God has been forsaken for a counterfeit Christ called "God the Son", who is not truly the Son of God, but only a metaphor, meaning not literally true. In forsaking Christ the church was left without the righteousness of God give to us through His Son. Thus the people have looked unto the righteousness of the law to fill its place. But sadly the righteousness of the law cannot transform their hearts, thus they struggle with the sinful desires of the heart, while like the Jews of old, they present the outward show of good works.

This terrible condition is revealed to us by the Faithful and True Witness of God in the message to the the Laodicean Church. "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:" (Revelation 3:15-17).

The remedy for their condition reveals the reason for being in this condition. "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." (Revelation 3:18). They need white raiment because they do not have the righteousness of Christ.

My friend, if we are to receive the seal of God in the trials of the last days we must have the righteousness of Christ. This cannot be obtained by the law. We must have the Spirit of Christ living within our hearts. The trinity is a false representation of God and as such has blinded the minds of the people. They cannot see their wretchedness because the trinity has the outward appearance of God, but in reality is not.

It is time for us to heed the warning from the Faithful and True Witness of God. "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:19, 20). Wont you look away from the false god of the trinity unto the One true God through his Son Jesus Christ today?
