Love Begets Love

Love Begets Love
My Thoughts:
My friend, the transforming love that was in the heart of the Son of God is not natural to the unconverted heart. While Jesus was on the cross; after being betrayed by one of His own disciples and forsaken by them all; after being beaten and tried unjustly, Jesus, the only begotten Son of God cried “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34). That kind of love comes only from above. It is not natural to the heart of man to love in such a way. This kind of love can only come from a heart that is filled with the Spirit of Christ.

Today there are so many professed followers of Christ that have an outward show of love for one another, but in their hearts they are selfish. When a crisis arises in their lives the truth is revealed. If we are to have the true sacrificial love in our hearts, we must have the life of the Son of God living within us. This comes only by the indwelling of the only begotten Son of God.

How sad today that the love of God no longer dwells within the hearts of the professed church of God. It has an outward show of righteousness and love for others, but in reality, it is “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.” (Revelation 3:17). Why is it in this most terrible condition? Because the church has forsaken Christ, the only begotten Son of God for a counterfeit Christ called “God the Son”, who is not in reality a son. Thus, the love of God does not dwell within them.

My friend, the true love of God manifested within the heart will bring about a total transformation of heart. We will no longer strive to be first but will esteem others better than ourselves. We will desire to do all within our power to seek and to save the lost. And when we are persecuted for righteousness sake, we will be able to forgive as Jesus forgave.

Begotten but Not Forgotten with Nadar Mansour

Begotten but Forgotten is a study the examines all the Bible occurrences of the word begotten. Nader Mansour looks at the consistent meaning of the word and how it applies to Christ. The truth of Christ's sonship is often forgotten by changing the meaning of that word.

The Gospel to All the World

The Gospel to All the World
My Thoughts:
My friend, the true gospel that is to go to the world is salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God, yet today in the church it has become salvation by faith and obedience to the law of God. Since when did our obedience become a part of our salvation? "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." (Galatians 2:16).

The good news is that our salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone without the deeds of the law, meaning that it is based upon our relationship with Jesus Christ and not upon our obedience to the law. Yet while salvation is by faith alone, obedience will be a part of the work of Christ within the heart, but our obedience does not save us.

Our true problem with sin is that we are sinful by nature and no amount of law keeping can change our nature. "Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law." (Galatians 3:21). Therefore since the law cannot transform our hearts, God gave us His Son that through Him, we would receive a new life. "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." (1 John 5:11). As we receive the life of the Son of God we become children of God.

If we preach any other gospel other than salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ, we are preaching a different gospel. Sadly the church today has added works as a part of our salvation. The apostle Paul admonished the believers in Galatia saying "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:6-8).

My friend, the three angels message is simply the proclamation of the everlasting gospel to the world which is salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God. The reason why this message has not brought about the conversion of the world spoken of in the Bible, is because we are preaching another gospel; salvation by faith and obedience to the law.

It is high time that we proclaim the true gospel of Jesus Christ today.

A People Who Keep God's Law

A People Who Keep God's Law
My Thoughts:
My friend, in the last days God will have a people that will reflect His character in their lives. These will keep the law of God, but this is not the basis of their testimony. It is simply the fruit of the salvation that has been wrought within them. These, the 144,000, are the representative of Christ to the world. They have the Fathers name, which represents His character, fully manifested in their lives, and as such they are in harmony with His law.

So many in the church today focus upon the keeping of the law rather than upon the transformation that is wrought within the people at this time. They point to the commandment keeping rather than upon the character of God wrought within their hearts. Today, the church has become as legalistic as the Scribes and Pharisees of old focusing upon the keeping of the law rather than upon the Messiah to come. "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:3, 4).

Our true problem with sin is not just the sinful acts that we commit, it is that we are sinful by nature. Our lives from the very beginning have been corrupted by sin and as such sin is manifested in the transgression of the law. Thus sin reigns within our hearts and we are subject to death. What we need is a new life; a life that is free from sin and death, and that life is only found in the life of the Son of God. "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." (1 John 5:11).

In the last days God will have a people that have gained the victory over sin. Their lives will be a testimony of the indwelling of Jesus within their hearts. This manifestation of God to the world will be like in the days of Christs first coming, but magnified throughout the world in the 144,000. The world will see the love of God manifested in these witnesses, and multitudes will surrender their hearts and accept Jesus as their Savior.

My friend, the true mark of God's people in the last days is not in any denomination or any keeping of the law, but is in the manifestation of the character of God within the hearts of His people. They have the faith of Jesus because He is living within them, and as such they will be in harmony with the law of God. This manifestation can only happen if they have received the life of the only begotten Son of God.

Will you receive the life of Jesus, the only begotten Son of God today?
