Seen and Unseen Foes

Today's Text Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Daniel 12:10

The church must and will fight against seen and unseen foes. Satan's agencies in human form are on the ground. Men have confederated to oppose the Lord of hosts. These confederacies will continue until Christ shall leave His place of intercession before the mercy seat and shall put on the garments of vengeance. Satanic agencies are in every city, busily organizing into parties those opposed to the law of God. Professed saints and avowed unbelievers take their stand with these parties. Testimonies for the Church 8:42. God has revealed what is to take place in the last days, that His people may be prepared to stand against the tempest of opposition and wrath. Those who have been warned of the events before them are not to sit in calm expectation of the coming storm, comforting themselves that the Lord will shelter His faithful ones in the day of trouble.... It is no time now*Written in 1885, at a time when religious liberty was threatened, much as it is today. to allow our minds to be engrossed with things of minor importance.... The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending. Its professions are mild and apparently Christian, but when it shall speak it will reveal the spirit of the dragon. It is our duty to do all in our power to avert the threatened danger. Testimonies for the Church 5:452. The time is coming when God's people will feel the hand of persecution because they keep holy the seventh day.... The man of sin, who thought to change times and laws, and who has always oppressed the people of God, will cause laws to be made enforcing the observance of the first day of the week. But God's people are to stand firm for Him. And the Lord will work in their behalf, showing plainly that He is the God of gods. Testimonies for the Church 9:229, 230. My Thoughts: My friend, those who put God first in their lives will have to contend with both seen and unseen foes. Satan endeavors to lead astray all that are not anchored to the rock of Jesus. One of the most deceptive things that he has come up with is to lead the people of God to worship the false god of the trinity. He has so deceived the people that though it cannot be supported by the Scriptures, they will defend it with all their might. Those who try and show them the truth from the Word of God are ridiculed, derided, and eventually kicked out of the church. These have a form of godliness, but they lack the power of God to transform their lives. Persecution will come to all those who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God, and this persecution will come from the professed people of God. Jesus warned us saying “But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;” (Matthew 10:17), and “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.” (Matthew 24:9, 10). Those that are offended will turn on those who have brought the offence to the world. Those who proclaim the true three angels message which is to call the church and then the world back to worship the One true God. The first angels message says “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” (Revelation 14:7). Who is the Creator of heaven and earth? It is the Father, for He has created all things by His Son. Notice “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:” (Ephesians 3:9). Our unseen foes are working together with the deceived people in the church to persecute those who hold to the truth that God is not a trinity. These will do all in their power to silence us, but we have the might unseen angels of God to protect and keep us. Nothing can happen to us without the permission of God. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28). My friend it is time to take your stand for God by proclaiming that Jesus is truly the Son of God. God bless,
