My friend, God is love and in giving us His Son, He has given all that could be given for our salvation. "In him was life; and the life was the light of men." (John 1:4). In our fallen nature, the image of God was no longer visible in man. God sent His Son that by His life we may be saved. In becoming a man, divinity was joined together with humanity, and through the life of Jesus we are saved. "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." (1 John 5:11).
The Son of God was brought forth from the very bosom of the Father; from the very essence of divinity, and as such received life from the Father, a divine life that was given to Him. "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;" (John 5:26). The Father is the One true God, the source of all life, and as such could not die for the sins of man, but the Son of God who was torn from the very bosom of the Father could. In giving us His Son, He gave us Himself. "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14).
The Son of God, the one being in all the universe that could enter into the counsels of God; the only being that shared the divine life of God, was sent to our world that He may reveal the love of God to man, that through His life, we may be saved. "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3). It is only by the life of the Son of God who became the Son of man, that we could be transformed into His lovely image. "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" (Colossians 1:27).
How sad it is that the whole of the Christian world, to include the Seventh-day Adventist church, have a false concept of God and as such are worshiping a false god. The trinity teaches that there are three beings in the Godhead, each are individually God and collectively God. It teaches that the Son of God is God the Son, and as such is co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father, meaning that He has no beginning. But if the Son of God has no beginning, then He cannot be a true Son, for a true son has a beginning.
As such the trinity denies that the Son of God is a true son, and in doing so denies that the Father is truly a father, thus denying both the Father and the Son. Of this the Scriptures declare is the spirit of antichrist, saying "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." (1 John 2:22, 23).
How is it that the church has accepted this false image of God into the church? "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." (Jude 4). Since the passing away of our church pioneers, the spirit of antichrist has steadily been creeping into the church. Corrupt men have come into our church and have been planting the seeds of the trinity and error into the church. Then as generation after generation have accepted these errors, it began to grow and grow until in 1980, it was adopted as one of the fundamental beliefs of the church.
My friend, it is time for us to turn away from the false god of the trinity unto the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ today.
