The Ways of Transgressors

The Way of Transgressors
My Thoughts:
My friend, the path of transgression puts us at enmity with God. By Adams sin, all of mankind has been led into sin. Though we are not guilty of his sin, we have inherited his sinful nature, and as such "... all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23).

The church today teaches that righteousness is right doing, and many strive to do right by keeping the law of God, believing that their right doing will eventually produce righteousness. But this is not so. Righteousness is more than just good works, it is right works that flows from a righteous nature. Man's nature has been corrupted by sin and as such cannot produce true righteousness. "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;" (Isaiah 64:6).

In order for us to be saved we need a transformation of our very natures; we need a new heart. "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." (Ezekiel 36:26).

The new life that is given to us is the Spirit of Christ that lives within us and leads us into the paths of righteousness. As we accept Christ as our Savior, He abides within our hearts and glorifies us step by step until we are ready for heaven.

My friend, unless you have the Spirit of the only begotten Son of God, you do not have Christ. How sad it is today that the whole of the Seventh-day Adventist church has accepted a counterfeit in place of the true. The trinity is a false representation of God and as such all those who have accepted this false god in place of the One true God, are led to have a form of godliness that leaves them without the power of God to overcome sin in their lives. This lack leaves the soul searching for a righteousness that they cannot obtain. It leads them away from the grace of God unto the bondage of the law, and as such they become legalistic, making the law of God their righteousness.

The righteousness that we need is the righteousness of God, and we can only receive it if we receive the true Son of God. "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3).

May you look away from the trinity unto the the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ today.

Waywardness of Man

Waywardness of Man
My Thoughts:
My friend, the instructions God has given us in His Word is for our own good, but so many times we fail to follow them as we should. Had our first parents done this the untold woes of man would have been avoided. Through their transgression the nature of rebellion has been passed down to their posterity. The once holy and righteous nature of Adam had been corrupted by his choice, and now sin now reigns in the heart of man. Though we are not guilty of his sin, we have received the result of his sin in his sinful nature.

This is our true problem with sin today. We transgress the law of God because it is in our nature to do so. Separated from God we have no power to resist the temptations of Satan, and thus he leads us into deeper and deeper rebellion against God. But, we are not left to fight this battle alone. Though we have sinned, the love of God reaches across the abyss of sin to offer to us salvation. To our first parents the promise was given, that a power outside of themselves would be given to them to resist the power of Satan. Speaking to Satan God said "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Genesis 3:15).

Satan's power over mankind would be interrupted. The divine Son of God would come down from heaven in the form of sinful man and overcome sin in the flesh, that by His holy and sinless life sacrificed on the cross, He might impart His life unto us.

My friend, our true problem with sin is not just that we sin, but that we are sinful by nature. Righteousness is not right doing, but right being, and that right being comes only by the indwelling of the Son of God within our hearts.

Rebellion Will Be Put Down

Rebellion Will Be Put Down
My Thoughts:
My friend, our life is found only in the life of the Son of God. There is no other means of salvation open to us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2:5). The divine Son of God came down from heaven, laid aside His divine power, omniscience, and omnipresence, yet He retained His divine nature that in taking upon Himself the likeness of sinful flesh, could connect us with heaven.

Our problem with sin is much more that just the acts of sin that we do, it is that we are inherently sinful. Our very natures are sinful and as such all of the works that we do is tainted with sin. Therefore our salvation must go to the very root of our problem, our sinful hearts. "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26). By the divine Son of God becoming a man and yet retaining His divine nature, He lived a perfect life that was victorious over sin and by His death on the cross for us, He offers His life for ours.

Our salvation was not completed at the cross, but is completed in His life sacrificed for us. "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1 John 5:12). The trinity robs us of the life of the Son of God and introduces to us a counterfeit called God the Holy Spirit. A being that did not become a man; did not overcome sin in the flesh, and cannot connect save us.

My friend, it is time for us to open our eyes to the truth that is right before us. "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3).

May you lay hold of the true Son of God today that you may be saved.
