My friend, to be born of the water is to commit your life to Christ through baptism. To be born of the Spirit is the new birth of the Spirit of Christ within us. No longer are we subject to the carnal nature of sin, but we are renewed in spirit that we may walk after the divine nature.
Our primary problem with sin is that we have been born with a fallen nature; a nature that is prone to sin. Without the new birth of the Spirit of Christ within us, we are not righteous. As Christ lives within us we begin to partake of His divine nature, thus begins the transformation of character within our hearts.
The Spirit that lives within us is the Spirit of Christ. "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" (Colossians 1:27). This was the belief of the church in the time of our church pioneers, yet today this truth has been supplanted by the trinity, claiming that it is the Holy Spirit, a being that is not the Father nor the Son, that lives within us.
The trinity teaches that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead and it is by this being that we are connected with the Father. This claim is in direct opposition to the plain teachings of Scripture that declares "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 3:5). Thus teaching another way of salvation.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6). The trinity, by claiming that the Holy Spirit is a separate being unto itself, teaches another way of salvation. Of this Jesus said "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep." Jesus is the door that we must enter; the trinity teaches another way of salvation and as such is not of God.
Since the churches acceptance of the trinity, it has become the church of Laodicea, whose condition before God is "... wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:" (Revelation 3:17). The church is in this condition because they have a false experience of righteousness by faith. The church thinks that it is rich and increased with goods, but they are blind to their true condition before God, because the trinity has the form of godliness, but has no power to transform their lives.
If we are to be saved and fitted for heaven, we must have the divine Spirit of Christ living within our hearts. This is the new birth that is to happen in our lives. If we are looking unto the trinity as God, we are accepting the spirit of another for our salvation; a being that is neither the Father nor the Son, and in the trials of the last days the chaff will be separated from the wheat. Those who trust in the sanctifying power of the trinity will realize too late that the foundation of their lives is built upon sand, and will as readily receive the mark of the beast as those who worship on Sunday.
My friend, the message to the Seventh-day Adventist Church that is in the Laodicean condition is "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20), and "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Revelation 18:4).
Won't you heed the call of the Faithful and True Witness of God today?
God bless,
