My friend, the command of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is to go to the whole world, teaching them about Jesus and baptizing them in His name. Those who surrender their lives to Jesus, become partakers of the divine nature and are transformed into His image. We receive His life and therefore are bidden to work as He worked, for the salvation of souls.
This work can only be accomplished by the indwelling of Jesus within the hearts of His followers. How is it that the promise can be fulfilled, "... and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20)? It is by His Spirit that He is with us.
How sad it is today that the church has accepted the belief that the Spirit that dwells within us is not the Spirit of Christ, but the spirit of another being. By the acceptance of the doctrine of the trinity, the church has been separated from the power to accomplish the work that we have been given.
The trinity teaches that the Holy Spirit is a separate being from the Father and the Son, and that it is by this spirit that we are connected with Jesus. This is what I was taught growing up within the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and though I tried to follow my Lord's command, it seemed like something was missing. It was not until I came to understand the simple truth that the Holy Spirit was not the spirit of another being, but was in fact the Spirit of Christ living within me, that I was able to lay hold of this truth and begin to do the work of the Lord.
The trinity is a deception of Satan and artfully separates us from the only power that can save us. By teaching that God is a trinity consisting of three co-eternal god-beings, Satan has replaced the image of the One true God with an image of his own making. In doing this he separates us from the only power that can transform our lives, which is "... Christ in you the hope of glory." (Colossians 1:27).
My friend, if you desire to do the work of carrying the gospel message to the world, then you need the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ, that you may have power to accomplish the work, and that power only comes by the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ.
God bless,
