My friend, what God has made plain in His word, man has enshrouded in mystery. The revelation of Himself to humanity is that He is a God of love and that He loves us so much that He sent His Son to save us. Satan had worked through corrupt men to pervert the Scriptures and to interpret them in such a way that distorts the image of God in them.
One of his most effective and deadly deceptions is in the doctrine of the trinity. This doctrine has been so widely accepted by professed followers of Christ, that it is almost never seen for the deception that it really is. It has taken the plain words of Christ that there is but one God, the Father, and made them of none effect. Jesus never claimed to be the One true God, but only the Son of God. Satan has setup a counterfeit god that has the outward appearance of God, but in reality is not.
The trinity teaches that God is three beings in one. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, making them co-equal, and co-eternal. It teaches that each are God unto themselves, but are also collectively God, while still claiming that the trinity is one god. While it does not make sense how three gods can be the one God, it is enshrouded in mystery, hence it is called the mystery of the trinity.
According to the trinity God the Son is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father. It teaches that the Son is not truly a son in the natural sense, but that it is only a title or metaphor that one of the divine beings has assumed for the salvation of man. As such the Son of God is not really a son, and as such the Father is not really a father, thus destroying the whole of of the gospel that God gave us His Son. Of this the Scriptures declare is the spirit of Antichrist, saying "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." (1 John 2:22, 23).
Additionally, it has taken the Spirit of God, and made it a divine being unto itself calling it God the Holy Spirit. No where in the pages of Scripture is this ever shown to be true. The Holy Spirit is not the Spirit of another being, but is the Spirit of God Himself, and since the Son of God was brought forth from the Father (see Proverbs 8:22-30), He shares the same spirit as the Father. In doing this it has supplanted the mediatorial work of Christ and gives it to another being called God the Holy Spirit, who is not the Father, nor the Son. Of this the Scriptures declares to be a lie, for it says "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2:5).
Christ is our mediator, He is our comforter, He is our connection with the Father. Of this Jesus prayed saying "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3). It is by the life of the Son of God that we transformed into the image of God. "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" (Colossians 1:27).
My friend, the Scriptures are plain that there is only One true God and that is the Father, and He is revealed to us by His Son. The trinity is a deception of Satan that has the outward appearance of God, but in reality is not. The message to the Laodicean church is "...and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:... I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:17-20).
Wont you heed the message from the Son of God today?
God bless,
